What is a festival?
A
festival is an event which centers on some
unique and particular aspect of that portrayed.
With all the
pomp, pageantry and festivity that comes with
our national festival, which is Carnival,
Gerard Kelly Children’s Carnival
has chosen to celebrate dance
and the art form as peculiar to the various
continents and its people.
From the continents of North America across to
Europe and Asia, Africa and back home to South
America, we have traveled the lands to find
some of the traditional and native dance forms.
As
we take you through the stages, we hope you
enjoy and that along the way, we would have
educated on some of the components of dance
